How many of young black men must be gunned down before something is done. This is getting to be too much to bear. Unarmed young black men are gunned down at will. Why? The curse of America’s racism that is perpetuated over the generations. There can be no peace until equality is achieve anywhere in the world. Everyone has waken up to their rights. Unfortunately some folks live in the past and expect white privilege to continue its merry way. Wake up for the sake of the future children of all races especially the white children. Do not fill their heads with the superiority nonsense that were fed to generations before. Speak the truth and tell your children the truth that all people are c created equal.

Shame on the Bully who attacked an old man
Singer Lester Chambers is recovering after being attacked by a fan at a California music festival, where he dedicated a song to Trayvon Martin.
On July 13 at the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival, in the East Bay area near Oakland—hours before a jury returned a not-guilty verdict for George Zimmerman—Chambers, a founding member of The Chambers Brothers, dedicated Curtis Mayfield’s “People Get Ready” to Martin. Police say 43-year-old Dinalynn Andrews-Potter then climbed on stage and attacked Chambers, shoving him into an amplifier and knocking him down.
“Started calling me MFs and SBs with different slurs and screaming at me, ‘You started this! You started this, you MF!’ and she hit me,” the 73-year-old Chambers recounted recently. “I have a great big lump over here on my left rib cage, under my shoulder.”
Andrews-Potter, who is white, was initially given just a citation for misdemeanor battery

Facebook and real life collides again in murder. A woman allegedly murdered her boyfriend after they had a fight over Facebook activities. I suspect we can expect to see a lot of such connections in the future as some people use this media to get even with lovers and friends who have gone bad. The chances of escaping criminal behaviour online is less likely than in real life. There is online trail from which a person cannot hide and I hope they realize that when they bare their guts on Facebook. People have to start using this media more intelligently to avoid trouble with the law and with each other. Read the s tory here:

Justin Bieber’s Believe Tour got off to a challenging start in Arizona as The Biebs had upset stomach or something that made him puke a couple times during the show but like a pro he saw the performance to the end. Get better Justin.
It was hot at The Piston bar on Monday Night October 1 with a David Bowie Tribute event hosted by junkshop DJ Jared Lee Benningston featuring Maiko Watson, Jared’s old highschool pal. It was a fun night, lots of people came out and had a great time.

Let’s give it up for Canada Day! It is a holiday in Canada! The Forks might be the hottest place to check out.
The Winnipeg Jazz Festival is over and it was another fantastic year with some of Jazz greats from all over came for the gig. It was fabulous. There were some fantastic free entertainments which is something to look forward to every year at the Cube aka the old Market Square – There were Flosoul, R&B, Awarding winning Maiko Watson, soul, funk, R&B and rock, Noma Simbanda, R&B and Folk and Moses Mayes big band featuring Maiko Watson that brought the house down on the final night. It was awesome. Watson’s individual show on the opening night was a knock out, she was in fine form and her interaction with the audience was pure love, that’s all.

Karen Klein who rides the bus with school children to protect them was the target of some distasteful bullying and taunting by the very children she is supposed to take care of. A good Samaritan who videotaped the entire shenanigan posted his video on You Tube and tried to raise $5000 to send the woman on a vacation but instead he’s raised enough to give the woman a great retirement package – a whopping half a million dollars. I’m wondering if this is real money or monopoly money! Where do people get that kind of cash in less than 72 hours of the petition being posted? Wow people are super generous if this is for real and even if it isn’t it’s still super because it is the thought that counts, right.

I wonder why parents take their young children to the slaughter of show business, knowing full well what a cut throat business it is. For the sake of fame and money a little girl will miss out of the most important part of her life, that of being a little innocent girl. If she is good enough other opportunities would come her way when she is the ripe age of 18 or so..
In Canada we frown upon child labor. Is this not child labor? Or are there different rules for show business and field work?
