Trafficking has always been associated with women and girls but recent statistics show that today nearly 50 percent of the people trafficked are young boys and something needs to be done about it. We cannot turn a blind eye on this one. Those who prey on children must be stopped and brought to justice. In many cases the reason why young boys sell their bodies is due to poverty. And so as we tackle the immediate problem or ending this abuse, society has a responsibility to these children, to ensure that their basic needs are met and they are given a chance to grow up.
