It’s been a year of some serious protests. The most interesting and unexpected was the Arab spring which had a domino like effect in the Arab countries where dictators were ousted out of their comfortable chairs by the popular masses. The world has never seen such organization of a people who were dominated by autocratic and ruthless dictators for years. Where did that strength come from? I guess there is always a tipping point and the Arab tipping point had reached and the people marched in the face of mortal danger, they marched, overthrown and were not afraid for once.
I have to agree with the Time’s choice of person of the year. Hats off to all those who protest you do the work for the rest of us to keep democracy and freedom alive. Thank you.
