An illiterate woman who was born into slavery knew this to be true.  We have to get this. Whatever rights we deny others we are denying ourselves as well. Today it them and tomorrow it might be you.  We cannot have our cake and eat it too. Rights in a democracy ought to look different from rights in an autocracy.

Behaviours that attempt to curtail people’s freedom of expression is a violation of a person’s basic human rights within a democratic nation. It’s bullying.
