The Philosopher President Obama

Barack Obama, the Philosopher President – a rare breed.  Explains Mr. Kloppenberg:

“Reading Obama: Dreams, Hopes, and the American Political Tradition,” Mr. Kloppenberg explained that he sees Mr. Obama as a kind of philosopher president, a rare breed that can be found only a handful of times in American history.

“There’s John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and John Quincy Adams, then Abraham Lincoln and in the 20th century just Woodrow Wilson,” he said.

I am definitely not surprised by this assessment. Anyone who has followed President Obama with an open mind clear of race, ethnicity will see he is principled, honest and truthful. His actions are carefully measured against what he believes is the best choice for Americans. How many Americans can think rationally?  Not many of us. So we picked a President to do the hard work for us, give him a chance to do his work. You’ve chosen him because of his promise.  Well, he is not Jesus or Muhammed, or Moses or any spiritual leader with special powers.  He is human and he cannot fix the American situation over-night. He is asking for time to do what is right. Things will get better under Obama. Trust him. He knows what is at stake and he is taking his work seriously. So seriously, the man has gone almost white since taking over the White House a little more than a year ago.  He is a Godsend to lead America out of the wilderness of faulty polices, economic disaster and debauchery. Do not be blinded by racism or instant gratification.  This cannot be a fast food fix.  If it is, there will be no substance and soon you will be hungry again.

Do not be misled by Tea Partyers, most of them are fat cats and they want to maintain their ration at poor people’s expense. Others are using race to fuel American’s trust.  Be conscious, be aware and be present to what is really happening – think for a chance. Yes we can!
