When would the government take steps to reduce the killing of innocent children by so-called family pets. I think there is need to regulate the way people keep pets. Pets and children should not be in the same house. Pets should have their own doghouse that should be heated in the winter.
Dogs should always be kept out of reach of children that are unattended by parents. Dogs should be kept in a fenced area in the yard at all times until their master take them out for a walk. Too many of these so-called accidents happen and they happen mostly to children, trained by parents to see dogs as kind gentle animals. Any dog is capable of killing. When bad things happen the very dog we claim to love suffer by having their lives snuffed out. Why wait until something bad happens. Why not take the proper precautions so that children are never exposed to this type of danger. Does anyone know how many children are either mauled or killed by family pets? This is stupid and unnecessary trauma for children.
